Job summary

Midco Diving & Marine Services, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Shop & Equipment Manager to keep gear running, fleets operational, and field crews fully prepared.

You’ll own fleet readiness, oversee shop operations, and drive safety and logistics to support critical underwater construction, inspection, and repair work. The role requires 3–5 years in shop management or heavy equipment logistics, strong diesel and compressor knowledge, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in shop management, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment logistics.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of diesel engines, high-pressure compressors, motorized equipment, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• CDL preferred or obtainable; Dive Lab Helmet Tech; ASNT Level II VCI; DOT/OSHA training are a plus.
• Able to manage fleet tracking and organize certifications in the document hub.

Responsibilities

• Command Fleet & Mechanical Readiness: own trucks, trailers and heavy equipment; monitor health via Samsara and oil analysis; ensure DOT compliance; respond to breakdown recoveries.
• Maintain Life-Support & Technical Diving Gear: inspect, overhaul, and test dive gear including umbilicals, am-commands, high-pressure compressors, and helmets.
• Lead Mobilization & Logistics: coordinate load-outs with scheduling; transport equipment to field teams; manage inventory to prevent downtime.
• Manage Shop Operations: supervise shop personnel and divers; enforce safety standards; maintain key control and facilities.

What You'll Do

• Command Fleet & Mechanical Readiness: Take full ownership of our trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment-handling services, tracking health via Samsara and oil analysis, managing DOT compliance, and responding quickly to breakdown recoveries.

• Maintain Life-Support & Technical Diving Gear: Inspect, overhaul, and test dive gear-including umbilicals, am-commands, high-pressure compressors, and helmets.

• Lead Mobilization & Logistics: Coordinate load-outs with scheduling, transport critical equipment to field teams when needed, and direct inventory stock to prevent downtime.

• Manage Shop Operations: Supervise shop personnel and assigned divers, enforce strict safety standards, maintain key control, and manage facility and grounds upkeep.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 3–5 years in shop management, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment logistics.

• Technical Mastery: Deep hands-on knowledge of diesel engines, high-pressure compressors, motorized equipment, and preventative maintenance schedules.

• Certifications: Valid driver's license with a clean record (CDL preferred or obtainable). Industry credentials (such as Dive Lab Helmet Tech or ASNT Level II VCI) and formal DOT/OSHA training are a huge plus.

• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable managing fleet tracking and organizing compliance certifications in our document hub.
