Job summary

Lexus Gwinnett, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking a qualified Shop Custodian/Service Porter to support daily dealership operations.

You will assist technicians, keep the shop and lot clean, transport customers and vehicles, and perform general maintenance. We offer competitive pay and a benefits package including health, retirement, PTO, and employee purchase programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Available to work Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with rotating Saturdays.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Safety rules apply; handheld devices not allowed while driving.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians in pulling cars in at night.
• Clean shop and parking lot as needed.
• Transport customers home and pick them up when requested.
• Transport vehicles to and from vendors.
• General maintenance inside and outside of the dealership.
• General cleaning inside and outside of the dealership.
• Throwing away trash/tires.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm with an hour lunch break (with rotating Saturdays).
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Employees are expected to refrain from using their handheld devices while driving; this includes cell phones and texting while driving in connection with their job duties. Safety must come before all other concerns.
