Job summary

H+M Industrial EPC is seeking a Shop Combo Welder to perform TIG, MIG, and Fluxcore welding in our fabrication shop in Pasadena, TX. The role requires reading blueprints and ensuring weld quality aligns with project specs.

You will set up equipment, inspect welds, and collaborate with the team to meet deadlines. A minimum of four years in a fabrication environment and strict adherence to safety standards is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a fabrication shop.
• Proven experience with TIG, MIG and Fluxcore welding.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with safety standards and PPE.
• Ability to collaborate with others and work independently as needed.

Job description

Reports to: Shop General Foreman

Position Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Non- Exempt

Work Schedule: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday. Weekends on an as needed basis.

Purpose: At H+M Industrial EPC the Shop Combo Welder plays a vital role in our fabrication operations, using TIG, MIG, and Fluxcore welding techniques to produce high-quality welds essential for project success. This position supports our mission to deliver safe, reliable, and precise welded components by ensuring that all work meets strict quality standards and aligns with project specifications

Core Job Responsibilities

• Perform TIG, MIG, and Fluxcore welding techniques on various metal types and thicknesses.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment to appropriate configurations for each project.
• Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure quality and accuracy per company standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a combo welder with a focus on TIG, MIG, and Fluxcore welding.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a fabrication shop.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Will talk and hear to communicate.
• Use arms and hands to signal, reach for, handle or manipulate objects, materials, and tools.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs.
• See well (naturally or with correction)

Tool Requirements: Employees are required to utilize their own tools. A detailed tool list will be provided during Onboarding.
