Job summary

Madison Spring, Inc. is seeking a hands-on shop/maintenance worker to support parts logistics, cleaning, and inventory tasks. You will pick up parts from vendors, help stock inventory, and keep the shop and office clean and organized.

Daily duties include operating the floor scrubber, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and assisting with waste disposal and tool organization. Eligible benefits are provided with a standard full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and openness to learn.

• Clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and walk 10,000 steps per day.
• Ability to pass a drug screen & willingness to be enrolled into a random testing program

Responsibilities

• PARTS RUNS (40%): Pickup parts from local vendors in a timely and safe manner. Follow Diesel Techs on vendor and parts.
• SHOP & OFFICE CLEANING (35%): Sweep/clean floors and surfaces; maintain floor scrubber and replaceable parts.
• MAINTAIN SUPPORT SYSTEMS (15%): Change furnace filters; dispose fluids; organize tools.
• REMOVE WASTE/STEEL/RECYCLING (5%): Weekly removal of waste via pallet jack or forklift.
• INVENTORY PUTAWAYS (5%): Assist Inventory Coordinator with part distribution and stocking.

Position Description Owns shop cleanliness & part runs. Assists in stocking inventory items. Accountabilities

• PARTS RUNS (40%)
• Pickup parts from local vendors in a timely and safe manner.
• Follow instructions of Diesel Techs on desired vendor and parts.
• Maintain fuel and cleanliness of company vehicle.
• SHOP & OFFICE CLEANING (35%)
• Sweep/clean floors and surfaces throughout entire building.
• Maintain and run floor scrubber, along with maintenance of replaceable parts.
• Clean open bays when made available and along floor spaces, under cabinetry.
• Sanitize frequently touched surfaces.
• MAINTAIN SUPPORT SYSTEMS (15%)
• Maintain and change furnace filters
• Fill oil dry & relocate oil/fluids to proper disposal containers
• Plug items in for charging and organizes tools
• REMOVE WASTE/STEEL/RECYCLING (5%)
• Weekly and biweekly removal of waste via pallet jack, forklift or 2-wheel cart to designated locations.
• INVENTORY PUTAWAYS (5%)
• Assist Inventory Coordinator with part distribution and stocking.
