Job summary

Atlas Energy Solutions Inc. is seeking an entry-level Shop Assistant to support the shop team by cleaning generators before and after repairs and assisting with basic disassembly for cleaning. The role emphasizes safety, organization, and following detailed instructions with minimal supervision.

No prior generator experience is required, and on-the-job training will be provided. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are necessary to operate in the yard and transport equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• On-the-job training provided; no prior generator experience needed.
• Forklift experience is a plus; training will be provided.
• Hand tool experience required.
• Ability to stay focused, work independently, and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work legally in the US.
• Clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Pressure wash generators inside and out.
• Remove guards and perform light disassembly for cleaning.
• Safely operate a forklift to move generators and equipment.
• Keep yard and shop areas clean, organized and hazard-free.
• Follow work instructions with limited supervision and safety policies.
• Participate in training and safety meetings.
• Use tools safely and report incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Abide by company policies and perform other duties as assigned.

How You Will Make an Impact

The Shop Assistant supports the shop team by thoroughly cleaning generators before and after major repairs, assisting with basic disassembly and reassembly for cleaning, and maintaining an organized and safe yard and shop environment. This is an entry-level position that does not require prior generator experience.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly pressure wash generators inside and out.
• Remove guards and perform light disassembly work to prepare units for repair or cleaning.
• Safely operate a forklift to move generators and other equipment around the yard.
• Keep yard and shop areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow work instructions and complete tasks with limited direct supervision.
• Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
• Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.
• Use the correct tools and use them safely.
• Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
• Abide by all policies and procedures established by Moser Energy Systems.
• Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
