The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is seeking a Shop Administrative Technician III to provide administrative and technical support for department operations in a CMMS environment (Maximo). You will handle data entry, track labor, generate work orders, and manage purchasing records and inventory documentation.
You will process purchase orders, coordinate materials and services under state contracts, and maintain personnel and timekeeping files.

The Shop Administrative Technician III (SAT III) performs administrative and technical support duties for department operations, including data entry and records management in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), tracking labor, tools, and material requisitions, and reporting operational issues to appropriate supervisors. This position reviews purchase orders and purchasing card records for proper account information and procures materials, supplies, and services in accordance with applicable State procurement regulations and contracts. This role performs general office functions, including correspondence, customer service, filing, mail distribution, scheduling, and maintenance of personnel records. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Employees in this position will report directly to the Intelligent Transportation Systems Manager, Chief Facility Maintenance Officer, or other designated officials. The current vacancies are located in Baltimore County, MD, and Prince George's County, MD. This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies throughout the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA).

Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Two (2) years of experience performing administrative support work and/or receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, materials, and equipment in a storeroom, warehouse, or other supply storage facility. May require the ability to type accurately at a speed of not less than twenty words per minute.
