Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking a part-time Shoe Stylist to drive sales through excellent customer service and product knowledge. You will greet customers, maintain service standards, and contribute to promotional efforts while supporting basic store operations.

The role requires 1-2 years of retail experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every customer to provide outstanding service.
• Maintain high standards of customer service in all aspects of the store.
• Know product information, promotions, and advertising to assist customers.
• Demonstrate sales skills to meet productivity targets.
• Assist with store operations such as merchandising, floor moves, and inventory management.
• Be flexible and perform tasks outside the defined role as needed.

Shoe Stylist (P/T)

The Shoe Stylist is responsible for applying selling techniques to merchandise and developing a client base to build sales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer.
• Maintain outstanding standards in every aspect of customer service.
• Possess an understanding of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, and advertising efforts.
• Demonstrate salesmanship skills by consistently achieving and maintaining sales productivity levels.
• Assist in various store operations, including floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, cleaning duties when necessary, and returning products to inventory as needed.
• Be flexible and occasionally perform work outside of your specific role.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.
