Job summary

Steve Madden in Concord, NC seeks a Part-time Shoe Stylist to deliver outstanding customer service, demonstrate deep product knowledge, and apply selling techniques to merchandise. Previous retail experience is preferred and strong communication skills are essential.

You will support store operations, help with floor moves and displays, build a client base, and maintain an inviting shopping environment while working a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and acknowledging every customer to deliver outstanding service.
• Maintain outstanding standards in customer service.
• Know product information, promotions, and advertising to assist sales.
• Demonstrate salesmanship to achieve sales productivity.
• Assist in store operations: floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, cleaning, inventory checks.
• Be flexible and perform duties outside of your specific role when needed.

Shoe Stylist (P/T)

The Shoe Stylist is responsible for applying selling techniques to merchandise and developing a client base to build sales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer.
• Maintain outstanding standards in every aspect of customer service.
• Possess an understanding of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, and advertising efforts.
• Demonstrate salesmanship skills by consistently achieving and maintaining sales productivity levels.
• Assist in various store operations, including floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, cleaning duties when necessary, and returning products to inventory as needed.
• Be flexible and occasionally perform work outside of your specific role.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.
