Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. is looking for a part-time retail associate in a shoe department. You will stock and transport shoes, assist customers, and support multiple shoe areas with a welcoming, team-oriented attitude.

The role requires availability for varied hours including some evenings and weekends, and an emphasis on accuracy, customer care, and teamwork. Employee ownership and benefits are highlighted in the program description.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 months of related retail/sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve shoes from back stock and move to staging area.
• Process unpurchased items and returns, keep inventory organized.
• Assist in Men’s, Women’s, and Youth shoe departments as needed.
• Greet customers warmly and offer immediate assistance.
• Prep and verify all devices and tech before shift.
• Work with Specialty Shop Managers to address urgent needs.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates.
• Operate independently or with the team as required.
• Perform basic calculations.
• Work hours include days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively retrieve shoes from back stocks and transport them to the staging area for sales associates
• Process unpurchased items and customer returns to their correct locations while maintaining an organized work environment to ensure inventory accuracy
• Assist in Men's, Women's, and Youth shoe departments as needed
• Proactively engage customers with a warm, welcoming demeanor and offer immediate assistance
• Ensure all necessary technology and devices are prepped and functional prior to the start of each shift
• Partner closely with Specialty Shop Managers to identify and address urgent department needs
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information clearly to customers and team members
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levers of the organization
• The ability to perform basic calculations
• Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), preferred
• 1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Hours: Average of 15-20 hours per week
• The Shift: 2-3 shifts a week during the day (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) with the occasional evening shift (5:00 PM - 9:00 PM).
• Weekends: Minimum of every other weekend (Saturdays between 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM; Sundays 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM).
• Pay: The hourly rate posted includes personal sales commission and a base hourly wage of $17.00/HR.
