Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. is hiring for a full-time store role in Wisconsin. You will engage customers, guide them through purchases, and promote the Scheels Visa Card.

You will maintain product knowledge, lead training for peers, and drive personal sales goals while ensuring a superb customer experience. Responsibilities include inventory management, proper merchandising, pricing, signage, and collaboration with vendors. Some evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

  • Customer service experience or training preferred.
  • Knowledge of product categories and ability to explain features to customers.
  • Basic math skills for in-store transactions and discounts.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers and guiding them through the sale.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in selling areas and lead product knowledge training for associates.
  • Meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering high-quality customer experience.
  • Manage inventory using internal reports and keep backstock organized.
  • Ensure products are properly displayed with accurate pricing, signage, and tagging.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues, campus, vendors, and sales reps.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Handle varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Wauwatosa Scheels will open April 3rd, 2027

This full-time position will start in November/December of 2026. We will start hiring part-time positions in November of 2026.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in all selling areas, as well as lead product knowledge training for other associates
  • Consistently meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering a high-quality customer experience
  • Manage inventory by running and analyzing Internal Flash Reports
  • Effectively maintain an organized backstock while ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and replenished on the sales floor
  • Ensures their product is accurately displayed to customers through price tagging, sales stickers, and signage
  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented atmosphere
  • Communicate professionally with other associates within the store, the Scheels Campus, and Vendors/Sales Representatives
  • Ensures their work area is clean, organized, and meets safety standards
  • Ability to perform basic math; perform operations using units of currency, measurements, and understand percentages
  • Ability to work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Including product knowledge meetings
Compensation:

Starting $45,000-$48,000 annually ( a combination of hourly wage + sales commission)

Schedule Requirements:

This position does require some evenings, weekends and various holidays.

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work –

Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
