Job summary

Scheels in Wauwatosa is hiring for a full-time delivery/assembly role starting in late 2026. The position requires a clean, valid driver’s license and DOT/Scheels standards compliance, with a 21+ age requirement. Typical schedule is Mon–Fri, with possible nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess a clean, valid driver’s license and be approved through DOT and Scheels Driving Standards.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED; 0–3 months related experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and accuracy during the loading and transport of merchandise to prevent damage to products and customers' homes
• Efficiently assemble, service, and deliver customer and store merchandise including exercise machines, trampolines, grills, furniture, and bikes
• Troubleshoot and respond to customer delivery and equipment issues
• Maintain accurate and detailed records for the store, customer equipment, and delivery trucks
• Ensure a clean and professional appearance of the delivery trucks and delivery area

This full-time position will start in November/December of 2026. We will start hiring part-time positions in November of 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain safety and accuracy during the loading and transport of merchandise to prevent damage to the products and customers' homes
• Efficiently assemble, service, and deliver customer and store merchandise. This may include, but is not limited to, exercise machines, trampolines, basketball hoops, grills, furniture, game tables, bicycles, and other Scheels merchandise
• Troubleshoot and respond to customer delivery and equipment issues
• Maintain accurate and detailed records for the store, customer equipment, and delivery trucks
• Ensure a clean and professional appearance of the Scheels delivery trucks and the delivery area in your store
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly and delivery issues
• Be respectful of the customer’s home and property throughout the delivery process
• All other duties as assigned

Compensation:

Starting $38,000-$41,000 annually

Schedule Requirements:

This position is typically Monday through Friday, but could include occasional nights, weekends and holidays if needed.

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate must possess a clean, valid driver’s license and be an approved driver through DOT (DOT may not apply to all store locations) and Scheels Driving Standards, and be at least 21 years of age. High School Diploma, or General Education Degree(GED), one to three months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Very heavy work -

Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
