Scheels All Sports, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Shoe Runner to help deliver an exceptional customer experience in our fast-paced retail environment in Sparks, NV.

You will assist in shoe areas, stock backroom, process returns, and maintain organized inventory while delivering friendly, proactive service to customers. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1-3 months of sales experience, and a willingness to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.

  • Ability to lift and move objects as needed (heavy-work environment).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Men's, Women's, and Youth shoe areas.
  • Communicate with Specialty Shop Manager and team to understand urgent needs.
  • Select shoes from backstock and place them in staging area for sales associates.
  • Return unpurchased shoes to correct backstock areas.
  • Assist with shoe return processing and restock on the sales floor.
  • Maintain organized inventory and reduce clutter.
  • Provide a warm, welcoming customer interaction and proactive service.
  • Support a smooth service flow and work well independently or with the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Men's, Women's, and Youth shoe areas

Be proactive in communicating with the Specialty Shop Manager and team to understand the urgent needs in the area

  • Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates
  • Return any unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock
  • Assist Customer Service with shoe return processing and return items to the sales floor
  • Keep the product organized to eliminate clutter and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers, establishing a rapport and offering assistance, setting a positive tone for the customer's experience
  • Maintaining a smooth flow of service to minimize wait times for customers
  • Ability to be organized, multi-task, and maintain all aspects of the Shoe Runner role
  • Ability to work independently and with the team
  • Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and promptly
  • Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures
  • Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and merchandiser Leads
  • Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and or 1-3 months of sales experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
