Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. is seeking a retail associate to support multiple shoe departments in our Chandler, AZ store. This role emphasizes a personalized customer experience, teamwork, and ownership mindset as part of our ESOP-backed environment.

You will handle stocking, pricing, and customer service tasks, with opportunities to engage customers, maintain store organization, and support leadership in meeting department needs. Flexible hours may apply.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), preferred.
  • 1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Unload product from freight, tag, fold, hang, and price merchandise for the sales floor or back stock.
  • Retrieve shoes from back stocks and transport to the staging area for sales associates.
  • Process unpurchased items and customer returns to their correct locations, maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Assist in Men’s, Women’s, and Youth shoe departments as needed.
  • Engage customers with a warm, welcoming demeanor and offer immediate assistance.
  • Ensure all necessary technology and devices are prepped and functional before each shift.
  • Partner with Specialty Shop Managers to identify urgent department needs.
  • Maintain an orderly appearance with cleaning and organization in store and back stock areas.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to present information clearly to customers and team members.
  • Show ability to work independently and with others across the organization.
  • Perform basic calculations and work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • The ability to perform basic calculations
  • Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), preferred
  • 1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
