Job summary

AMD is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer for its Shock and Vibration Engineering team. The role focuses on testing, validation, and continuous improvement of mechanical designs to ensure reliability and customer satisfaction.

You will develop test plans, perform shock and vibration tests, analyze data, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive design improvements before shipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with engineering test methods, data collection, and analysis techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with documentation of findings.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with mechanical testing, reliability testing, or lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for shock, vibration, and environmental tests.
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations to improve product designs.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Operate and maintain laboratory test equipment and ensure safety best practices.
