Austal USA in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking a Production Planning Work Packager to assemble and deliver the work package data required for production. You will compile drawings, define scope and budgets, assign materials for pick lists, and generate PDF documents used by Production.

The role involves building detailed work packages, routing materials, assembling drawings, and coordinating changes with Document Control, while updating the planning database and advancing lean manufacturing

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 2 years of professional experience.
• Able to understand production engineering drawings.
• Must score 20+ on Cognitive Criteria Aptitude Test.
• Knowledge of EVMS and MPS/MRP is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Compile work package information into the Work Package document.
• Compile drawings and detail work scope with budget.
• Allocate material to create pick lists.
• Create PDF documents for production use.
• Send documents to Document Control for issue.
• Incorporate internal and external changes into work packages.
• Populate planning database with work scope items and attributes.
• Compile lessons learned from work packages.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
