Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Austal, AL is seeking Production Planners to support fast-paced production environments, coordinating planning and production control across multiple shop cells. Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous planning experience including production control planning, scheduling, and operations support

Responsibilities

• Monitoring construction schedules
• Controlling work orders/packages (plan ERs, MEPs, NCR, fixtures, consumables material, production material, etc.)
• Assisting Operation Supervisors in identifying and prioritizing shop/work cell capacity
• Collecting and reporting status of job progress (agendas)
• Reporting close-out/completion of jobs
• Maintaining electronic work package status
• Performing tactical problem solving
