Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a shipyard environment.
• Proficiency with welding equipment and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for welding in repair and fabrication areas.
• Weld steel plate/pipe to repair or modify components.
• Operate vacuum pumps, compressors, and grinders safely.
• Tack weld clips; verify fit before final welds.
• Follow foreman instructions on sequence and timing.
• Maintain safe working environment.
• Identify and report safety or structural issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
