Job summary

Southwest Shipyard, LP in Galveston, TX is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Clerk to manage stock receipt, storage, and movement of materials and tooling within the Warehouse, Receiving, and Operations areas.

The role requires 5+ years in warehousing/inventory control, proficiency in English, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Candidates should be able to operate a forklift and use basic computer systems. Monday–Friday schedule at our Galveston location.

Responsibilities

• Accept, verify, and record incoming materials and supplies.
• Stage, stock, and cycle count inventory; ensure accurate electronic receipts.
• Inspect goods for quantity, type, and quality; report discrepancies.
• Move and store items; issue tooling to site employees and record transactions.
• Enter stock data into inventory systems and respond to inquiries.
• Perform daily cycle counts and annual inventory; correct inaccuracies as needed.
• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
• Assist in planning daily schedules and maintain safety standards.
