Job summary

HANWHA PHILLY SHIPYARD, INC is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector to perform inspections (including NDE) and witness tests, read blueprints, and ensure compliance with ABS/DNV rules and company procedures.

You will prepare reports and quality records, coordinate with start-up, engineering, and other departments, and maintain safety standards in a heavy industrial shipyard environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of related QC/Welding experience or 5 years welding experience.
• AWS CWI Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of ABS and DNV rules is a plus.
• Knowledge of NDE testing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections (may include NDE) and witness tests as required.
• Prepare reports and quality records in compliance with procedures.
• Coordinate QC work with other departments (start-up, engineering, etc.).
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and functionality per requirements.
• Perform incoming inspections with materials control staff.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
