Job summary

System One in Rhode Island is seeking a Production Planner to manage scheduling and shop floor control on onsite assignments in North Kingstown. The role requires maintaining planning and cost-tracking accuracy, entering timecards, and generating reports for the Production Team.

Proficiency in Excel and MS Project is required, with a preference for shipbuilding or similar manufacturing experience. The position is direct hire and on-site, with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling and shop floor control.
• Background in organizational tasks supporting production scheduling.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Project or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and control shop floor activities for production projects, ideally with shipbuilding or similar manufacturing experience.
• Maintain accuracy of planning and cost-tracking systems; audit processes for continuous improvement.
• Enter daily timecard data for assigned projects and ensure hours are correctly recorded.
• Generate and close work orders; track project hours and summarize totals for reporting.
• Produce and analyze internal reports to support the Production Team's performance tracking.
• Monitor weekly efficiency across projects and identify optimization opportunities.
• Update project schedules in line with engineering timelines and requirements.
