Qualifications

• 2 yrs of marine, industrial or petro-chemical pipefitting experience.
• Completed high school or equivalent pipefitting program with NCCER certification.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and system layouts.

Responsibilities

• Fit and install piping systems from steel, galvanized pipe, copper, copper‑nickel, and stainless steel.
• Install valves, fittings, and components following drawings, arrangements, and blueprints.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure proper fit, alignment, and installation.
• Work in a shipyard environment that may include heights, tight spaces, and changing weather conditions.
• Support production across multiple shifts as needed to meet ship construction schedules.
• Follow Ingalls’ strong safety standards in every task and work area.
