Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a seasoned supervisor to lead semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel in the shipbuilding environment. You will supervise, assign, and evaluate staff, training them to enhance quality and productivity while ensuring adherence to drawings and procedures.

You will break down broad strategies into actionable plans, oversee manufacturing, installation, testing, and process operations with significant fiscal impact, and monitor budgets

Qualifications

• BS/Apprentice or high school with 4 years related experience.
• Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Willing to work any shift assigned.
• Internal candidates must have a Superior Attendance and Disciplinary Record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign, coordinate and evaluate trades personnel.
• Supervise and train employees to improve quality and quantity of work.
• Recommend training to enhance employee skill and productivity.
• Assist in developing training procedures.
• Break broad strategies down into practical action plans.
• Ensure employees are trained to perform action plans.
• Oversee manufacturing, installation, operation, testing and process operations with significant financial impact.
• Monitor job and budget performance for all shifts.
• Perform additional management responsibilities under Shipbuilding Management Charter 0001.
