Qualifications

• Secret clearance OR qualifying shipyard badge required.
• Red badge holders are highly encouraged to apply; Green badge holders may also qualify.
• Ability to work safely in an active shipyard environment.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fire prevention during hot work and remain at assigned station.
• Use and maintain fire preventer equipment.
• Move tools, materials, and equipment as needed.
• Assist skilled tradespeople with daily work assignments.
• Follow PPE and shipyard safety procedures and instructions.
