Job summary

Southwest Shipyard, LP is seeking a skilled carpenter to support construction and maintenance of shipyard facilities and equipment in Houston, TX. The role requires hands-on wood working, setup of carpentry tasks, and adherence to safety protocols. Qualifications

• 1-2 year experience in carpentry.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Bilingual – Spanish, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates wood working tools to cut, form and finish job. Erects or dismantles structures, repairs or refinishes walls and structures.
• Installs wood or metal parts.
• Lubricates and maintains carpenter shop equipment.
• May do touch up or incidental repair structural.
• May repair other as time is available.
• Ability to manage time and tasks effectively and efficiently.
