Job summary

Steel Dynamics in Columbus, MS is seeking a Shipping Water Truck Driver to support dust control by watering all areas in shipping as needed. The role requires following safety requirements and adhering to procedures to ensure high quality products for our customers.

You will learn safe operations of the water truck and assist in other areas under supervision, especially during rainy weather when the water truck is not needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Good communication skills (verbal, written, & electronic).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision.
• Works well with others.
• Quality & detail oriented.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Willing to work scheduled & unscheduled overtime.
• Ability to work in an extreme environment and to perform repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting and walking to support routine responsibilities.
