Shipping / Warehouse / Material Handling Associate

Job Overview

The Shipping / Warehouse / Material Handling Associate at Aqua-Chem performs warehouse duties in shipping and receiving, including picking, packing, light assembly, packaging, shrink wrapping, palletizing, and loading/unloading shipments. General labor tasks are also included.

Schedule and Location

Schedule: FT, Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 3:30pm; Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm (OT may be required on occasional Fridays).

Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00/hr (Dependent on Experience).

Responsibilities
  • Pull, label, and organize orders for shipment.
  • Maintain product organization and rotation.
  • Operate equipment like loaders, pallet wrappers, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Follow safety and manufacturing practices.
  • Build crates, perform light assembly, unload/load trucks.
  • Stock warehouse, perform cycle counts, and maintain 5S standards.
  • Use tools such as tape measures, power tools, and nail guns.
  • Work independently with good organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years related experience preferred.
  • Proficient in basic math and reading.
  • Experience in warehouse, inventory, picking, packing, and fulfillment preferred.
  • Light carpentry skills and crate building experience are a plus.
  • Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with ERP or similar systems preferred.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Manual skills requiring accuracy and coordination.
  • Ability to work up to 12 hours on cement surfaces, including bending, stretching, climbing ladders/stairs.
  • Work in temperature ranges matching outside ambient conditions.
  • Work at heights up to 15 feet.
  • Willing to work overtime as needed.
