Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. is seeking a Shipping/Warehouse Associate to accurately locate and prepare products for shipment, verify orders, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

You will work on 1st shift, 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, in a fast-paced environment and be part of a team dedicated to reliability and quality. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance, operating equipment safely, and collaborating with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic math and clear communication; ability to read and understand instructions in English.
• Able to read simple logs and reports.
• Able to lift, push, pull, and position items up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier loads).
• Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled hours.
• Comfortable standing and working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Basic understanding of warehouse functions and mechanical knowledge (preferred).
• Strong teamwork and communication with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Locate and select products from warehouse shelves or floor locations following labeling guidelines.
• Verify picked and packed items against order requirements for accuracy.
• Pack and prepare machined products for shipment including boxing and labeling.
• Operate powered narrow-aisle pickers safely to retrieve products.
• Practice safe lifting techniques and seek assistance for heavy items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments or assist in different areas as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Product selection: Accurately locate and select products from warehouse shelves or floor locations, following labeling or stamping guidelines.
• Order verification: Verify picked and packed items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
• Packing for shipment: Pick, pack, and prepare various machined products for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and securing items.
• Equipment operation: Operate powered narrow-aisle pickers safely and efficiently to retrieve products from different shelf heights.
• Safe handling: Practice safe lifting techniques and seek assistance for items over 50 lbs.
• Cleanliness and safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and operate equipment following safety protocols.
• Cross-departmental support: Collaborate with other departments or assist in different areas as needed to support overall operations.

• Team-oriented: Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Detail focus: Attentive to detail, capable of determining correct shelf locations based on routing tickets.

Your Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM
