Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a Shipping/Warehouse Associate to join our team in Fort Worth, providing essential material handling and order fulfillment. You will locate products, verify orders, and prepare shipments while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This role prioritizes reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. 1st shift runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential cross-department support as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic math and clear communication is required.
• Ability to read and understand English instructions and logs.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Able to stand for the full shift and lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Familiarity with warehouse processes is preferred but not required.
• Strong teamwork and accurate, detail-oriented work.

Responsibilities

• Locate and select products from warehouse shelves following labeling guidelines.
• Verify picked and packed items against orders for accuracy.
• Pack and prepare machined products for shipment with proper boxing and labeling.
• Operate powered narrow-aisle pickers safely to retrieve products.
• Lift, push, pull, and position items up to 50 lbs with team support as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall operations.

What You’ll Do

• Product selection: Accurately locate and select products from warehouse shelves or floor locations, following labeling or stamping guidelines.
• Order verification: Verify picked and packed items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
• Packing for shipment: Pick, pack, and prepare various machined products for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and securing items.
• Equipment operation: Operate powered narrow-aisle pickers safely and efficiently to retrieve products from different shelf heights.
• Safe handling: Practice safe lifting techniques and seek assistance for items over 50 lbs.
• Cleanliness and safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and operate equipment following safety protocols.
• Cross-departmental support: Collaborate with other departments or assist in different areas as needed to support overall operations.

What You’ll Bring

• Basic skills: Proficiency in basic math and clear communication; able to read and understand instructions in English and complete simple logs and reports.
• Physical capability: Able to lift, push, pull, and position items up to 50 lbs (with assistance provided for heavier loads).
• Dependability: Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled hours, adhering to timekeeping and other company procedures.
• Shift endurance: Comfortable standing and working in a non-climate-controlled environment for the entire shift.
• Warehouse familiarity: Basic understanding of warehouse functions and general mechanical knowledge (preferred but not required).
• Team-oriented: Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Detail focus: Attentive to detail, capable of determining correct shelf locations based on routing tickets.

Your Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
