Job description

Great client in Walton, KY, is seeking a warehouse associate to support their expanding shipping department. This is a temporary position with excellent benefits upon hire. Training will be provided for forklift operation; prior experience is a plus.

Pay is $17.00/hr., with first shift hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Position Summary:

Performs accurate movement of materials within the warehouse manually and with material handling equipment. Processes inventory transactions using barcode scanning.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for moving materials to/from stock locations within the warehouse.
2. Pulls work orders for production and transfers completed work to the warehouse.
3. Moves received products from the dock to storage locations.
4. Accurately picks materials from stock for shipment.
5. Operates small hand tools and material handling equipment, including forklifts, hand trucks, etc.
6. Uses computers and handheld scanners to record inventory transactions. Maintains good housekeeping and reports unsafe conditions.
7. Unscheduled daily and weekly overtime may be required.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Periodic Duties & Responsibilities:

Assists with inventories or cycle counts as needed. Performs additional tasks as directed by supervisors.

Special Skills Required:

• Ability to operate a forklift safely.
• Good mathematical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Ability to learn and use keyboards and scanners for warehouse activities.
• Experience with small hand tools and material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
