Job description

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Shipping Technician I (1st Shift).

The hourly rate for this position is $16.11 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview: The Shipping Technician I will perform tasks including visual inspection, packing, and shipping finished products and raw materials.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting supply chain processes to meet customer requirements by producing quality products safely and efficiently following Standard Work.
• Complying with environmental, health, and safety guidelines and maintaining 5S+ standards.
• Identifying process improvement opportunities and conducting root cause analysis for quality or production issues.
• Performing quality checks, visual inspections, and troubleshooting nonconforming parts.
• Cross-training and assisting other team members as needed.
• Adhering to safety policies, reporting safety issues immediately, and wearing proper PPE.
• Following standard operating procedures.
• Using material handling equipment and hand tools to manage materials and build crates/boxes.
• Maintaining inventory using tracking systems and scanners.
• Cutting wood and preparing packing materials.
• Assembling shipping groups and preparing products for shipment or storage.
• Using proper lifting techniques, handling up to 40 lbs, and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
