Job summary

AgCertain Industries, Inc. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Technician to manage receipt of materials, assemble orders, and ship finished products. This seasonal position runs through December 31, 2026 with potential to turn into a full-time role.

The role requires attention to detail, organization, and a proactive problem-solving approach. Duties span across production and include GMP training and daily operations with a broad range of tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; clear reading/writing and basic math.
• Physical ability to lift 75 lbs and stand 8+ hours.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Business Central preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external contacts.
• Commitment to safety and GMP practices.
• Abide by GMPs in all facility areas.

Responsibilities

• Label products and complete documentation accurately.
• Assist with inventory management and carrier coordination.
• Support overall Shipping Department operations.
• Complete GMP training and follow safety policies.
• Participate in all company trainings.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Shipping & Receiving Technician is responsible for receiving materials (ingredients, packing material, chemicals, etc.), putting together orders, and shipping finished product. This is a seasonal position through December 31, 2026 with the potential to turn into a full-time role. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be essential in maintaining the efficiency of Shipping & Receiving. Due to the nature of our business, the Shipping & Receiving Technician may do multiple tasks throughout the day/week. They are expected to contribute where and whenever needed, including any task throughout production.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Operate safely and appropriately in all AgCertain situations and environments
• Ability to demonstrate a basic and continuously increasing understanding of the shipping process
• Become familiar with product lines, both retail and wholesale, to contribute effectively to shipping and receiving efforts
• Proficient in using Business Central as required for daily operations
• Inspect incoming packing materials, ingredients, and processing aides
• Process and fulfill orders accurately and according to schedule
• Monitor inventory of product (including product on QA hold) in Packaging/Shipping coolers and assist with conducting inventory
• Properly label cheese and other products and organize as necessary; complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist with management of inventory, including loading and unloading trucks, coordinating with carriers and communicating with customers
• Assist with overall operations in the Shipping Department to ensure timely orders and a positive brand image
• Undergo Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training and be able to comply with Occupational Safety policies and GMPs in the production process
• Participate in all company trainings
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent level certification with proven reading, writing, clearly legible handwriting, computer, inter-personal communication and mathematics skills
• Physical abilities to include the ability to lift 75 lbs (34 Kg) , ability to spend 8+ hours on feet and/or standing in place
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Business Central is preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate internally and externally with customers and vendor
