Job summary

Crest Industries is hiring a Shipping Technician for the Port of Alexandria Facility. The role supports shipping, receiving, marshaling, and warehousing of stock inventory and project in-process items.

You will work with the Logistics Manager and project teams to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read measuring devices, basic math, simple hand tools, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Read and understand measuring devices such as tape measure, rules, and combination squares.
• Perform simple shop math (add/subtract fractions, decimals, and whole numbers).
• Experience applying simple hand tools such as wrenches, hammer, screwdriver etc.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Unloading inbound trucks and receiving materials.
• Inspecting materials and packaging shipments.
• Banding, wrapping, and loading outbound shipments.
• Operate forklift and other equipment safely.
• Coordinate with Project Coordinators/Managers on logistics issues.
