Job summary

The Georgia Pacific Corp. facility in Sheboygan, WI is seeking a Shipping Team Lead for 1st shift. The role directs a team of material handlers to coordinate outbound shipments, review orders, and ensure on-time deliveries in a fast-paced, safety‑conscious environment.

You will oversee inbound and outbound shipping, maintain inventory flow using FIFO, perform monthly counts, and continuously improve warehouse processes. Promotion to lead responsibilities related to productivity and quality.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years as Fulfillment or Warehouse Lead in distribution/manufacturing.
  • Experience handling the full order cycle (receive, pull, pack, ship).
  • Proficient with Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipment of materials to support production operations.
  • Review orders, customer demand, EDI/ASPs to develop daily shipping plans.
  • Schedule inbound/outbound shipments and oversee receipts and inspections.
  • Lead forklift team, dispatch work, and support loaders as needed.
  • Maintain inventory flow using FIFO and perform monthly counts.
  • Identify workflow improvements and ensure productivity and quality.

Shipping Team Lead, Warehouse (1st Shift)

The Georgia-Pacific facility in Sheboygan, WI is looking for a motivated professional to join our team as a working Shipping Team Lead. This open position is for 1st shift. The pay for this role is $29 per hour.

The Shipping Team Lead directs and manages all shipping activities within the facility on their shift. The person in this position leads a team of material handlers to perform the fast-paced work required in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company procedures and policies. What You Will Do
  • Coordinate shipment of materials to support production operations.
  • Review sales orders, customer demand, EDI and ASP's to develop daily customer shipping plan
  • Meet with materials and planning teams to review customer demand to ensure on‑time deliveries
  • Provide guidance of daily operations ensuring high degree of productivity and quality
  • Coordinate the scheduling of inbound shipments, oversee the receipt of incoming material, and perform incoming inspection
  • Coordinate outbound small package, LTL, and dedicated shipments including all required documentation
  • Work with the team using FIFO to manage inventory flow and warehouse organization.
  • Conduct monthly physical inventory counts
  • Dispatch work to the forklift drivers on the warehouse floor, and Assist loaders with questions
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of our inventory control processes, shipping and receiving records, and order processes.
  • Identify and implement improvements to workflow processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Willingness to overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Two (2) years or more experience as a Fulfillment or Warehouse Lead in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment
  • Experience performing the entire order process (receive an order/ pull the order/prepare the order for shipment/ shipment)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word
