Job Summary

The Shipping Supervisor oversees daily shipping operations and staff to ensure timely, efficient workflow, meeting productivity, health, quality, and food safety standards. Responsibilities include leading a team, addressing employee issues, providing training, and managing performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Shipping team in performance management, scheduling, employee relations, and training.
• Ensure team goals are met through clear quality standards.
• Address packaging variances and quality issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with hygiene and safety policies.
• Review packing records and logs.
• Inspect package labeling for compliance with guidelines.
• Ensure correct product allocation and follow procedures.
• Plan and supervise daily shipping tasks.
• Coordinate with Receiving, Shipping, and Production departments.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and personnel information.
• Create reports and provide statistical data regularly.
• Motivate and organize the team to meet productivity and quality objectives.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma required; post-secondary in Business Administration preferred.
• 2-3 years experience in shipping/shipping administration, preferably in a GMP environment; certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of GMP, Health and Safety, and Food Safety standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software (Famous preferred).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shift requirements.

Work Environment

• Flexible hours; willingness to travel.
• Office setting with moderate warehouse work, including refrigerated environments.
• Use of standard office equipment; ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds.
