Orion Steel Group, L.L.C. seeks a Shipping Supervisor for the Seamless Mill in Pueblo, Colorado.

You will oversee daily operations, safety, and quality while coordinating with the shipping and railroad teams to ensure timely, high-quality product delivery. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3 years of supervisory experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of Oracle, QC processes, and lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of industrial supervisory experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel.
• Experience with Oracle, database development, statistical process control, process control, and automation technologies, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to organize and motivate production teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity.
• Proven ability to professionally communicate with all levels of personnel, in written and verbal forms.
• Demonstrated initiative to identify areas, propose and initiate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily mill inspections with an eye for safety and productivity issues, coordinate with mill support groups to design and implement countermeasures.
• Conduct shift safety meetings and daily toolbox talks, train employees on safe work practices, and conduct daily safe job observations.
• Use LEAN tools from the Rocky Mountain Steel Business System to engage employees to continuously improve mill operations.
• Schedule and maintain shift manpower for mill operations and training.
• Manage an operational and quality team during manufacturing operations and during maintenance of mechanical equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems).
• Use quality standards to evaluate product conformance and troubleshoot quality issues promptly.
• Maintain and correct electronic and written records including shift performance, heat traceability, and quality assurance.
• Work with shipping department and railroad to manage truck and rail transfers.

We are seeking a Shipping Supervisor to join the Seamless Mill team located in Pueblo, Colorado. As a Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for all day-to-day manufacturing and quality operations on the seamless mill. This position reports directly to the General Supervisor for the Seamless Mill.
