Job summary

Riverpoint Medical in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Shipping Specialist to support production by ensuring accurate and timely shipping/receiving processes. You will work with the Warehouse and Shipping Manager to maintain and improve practices in a safe, organized environment.

Key duties include preparing orders, packing, inventory control, forklift operation, and parcel preparation. A HS diploma is preferred and forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills.
• Inventory, data entry and computer skills may be required.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs; occasionally lift and/or move objects over 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Completes reports by entering required information.
• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Prepare parcels for mailing.
• Operates fork lift to accomplish shipping/receiving duties.

Job Overview

The Riverpoint Medical Shipping Specialist will work with production to support the input and output of goods through the business process. • Inventory, data entry and computer skills may be required

• Forklift certification preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
