Salary Range: $15.00 - $18.00 Hourly

Description

Start a lifelong career with a fast-paced, family-oriented company! Wood Systems Inc., a Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Company, is looking for a reliable Materials Handler to ensure successful receiving, checking, picking, and loading of materials. Help us build America!

Job Location: 4615 S 49th West Ave, Tulsa, OK 74107

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Unload inbound freight, verify the material matches the order, and record any damages or shortages.
  2. Obtain driver’s signature on bill of lading.
  3. Assemble store shipments by palletizing, shrink wrapping, and labeling the units.
  4. Inspect shipments to ensure they are securely covered and strapped.
  5. Build millwork material packages by hand.
  6. Operate a forklift, stock, and stage materials for manufacturing. (Forklift training available)
  7. Ensure cleanliness by removing all waste from the facility.
  8. Conduct cycle counts and monitor inventory.
  9. Keep materials organized, safe, and ready for production.
  10. Follow all safety policies.
Safety:
  • Adhere to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment.
  • Ensure safety functions on equipment are operating properly.
  • Handle materials in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Report any safety defects or issues immediately.
  • Complete all required safety training.
Qualifications
  • Perform physical tasks involved in receiving, checking, picking, and loading materials.
  • Ensure store shipments are correctly assembled and materials are restocked.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work 50+ hours per week (5 to 6 days).
  • Knowledge of various tools and ability to do repetitive work.
  • Must work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and in a team setting.
Physical Demands:
  • Lift, drag, and carry objects weighing approximately 60 lbs.
  • Work on your feet for several hours.
  • Operate a forklift daily.
  • Perform manual labor.
Work Environment:
  • Indoor and outdoor conditions, in climate-controlled areas and outside in natural elements.
