Wood Systems West in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Materials Handler for a full-time role in a fast-paced, family-oriented company. You will handle receiving, checking, picking and loading of materials and operate a forklift daily.

Responsibilities include unloading freight, verifying shipments, building millwork packages and maintaining safety and organization on the floor. This position requires long hours and teamwork to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Performs physical tasks involved in receiving, checking, picking and loading material.
• Experience in warehouse environment preferred but not required.
• Able to work 50+ hours per week (5–6 days).
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and work at a fast pace.
• Able to work in a team environment and follow safety policies.

Responsabilités

• Unloads in-bound freight, verifies material matches order and records damages/shortages.
• Obtains driver's signature on bill of lading.
• Assembles store shipments by palletizing, shrink wrapping and labeling.
• Inspects shipment to ensure it is securely covered and strapped.
• Build Millwork material packages by hand.
• Operate a forklift, stock and stage materials for manufacturing.
• Ensure cleanliness by removing all waste from the facility.
• Cycle counts/inventory monitoring.
• Keep materials organized, safe and ready for production.
• Follow all safety policies.

Wood Systems Inc., a Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Company is looking for a reliable Materials Handler to ensure successful receiving, checking, picking and loading of materials.

Job Location: 4615 S 49th West Ave, Tulsa, OK 74107

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Unloads in-bound freight, verifies the material matches the order and records any damages or shortages.
• Obtains driver s signature on bill of lading.
• Assembles store shipments by palletizing, shrink wrapping and labeling the units.
• Inspects the shipment, ensuring it is securely covered and strapped.
• Build Millwork material packages by hand
• Operate a forklift, stock and stage materials for manufacturing. (Forklift Training Available)
• Ensure cleanliness by removing all waste from the facility
• Cycle counts/inventory monitoring
• Keep materials organized, safe and ready for production
• Follow all safety policies!

Safety:

• Adheres to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment.
• Ensures safety functions on equipment are operating properly.
• Handles material in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Reports any defects or safety issues immediately.
• Completes required safety training.
• Inspects the shipment, ensuring it is securely covered and strapped.

Qualifications:

• Responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in the receiving, checking, picking and loading of material to and from trucks and warehouse.
• Ensures store shipments are assembled correctly and material is restocked to and from warehouse areas.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, but not required
• Ability to work 50+ hours per week (5 to 6 days per week)
• Knowledge and expertise in the use of a variety of tools
• Ability to do repetitious work
• Must be able to work at a fast pace
• Ability to work in a team environment

Physical Demands:

• Lift, drag and carry objects weighing approximately 60lbs
• Ability to work on your feet for several hour at a time
• Shifts are generally 50+ hours per week
• Operate a forklift everyday
• Manual labor required

Work Environment:

• Indoor & Outdoor work conditions in both climate controlled areas and out in natures elements.
