Job summary

ProAmpac in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Technician to safely move, store, and track finished goods while supporting inventory accuracy and production efficiency. This role emphasizes workplace safety and food safety compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include processing orders in the TMS, preparing bills of lading, weighing and loading products, and coordinating with carrier lines. A forklift certification and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience operating industrial forklifts and standing lift trucks preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including e-mail and inventory management systems.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Run orders through the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Pick orders from the warehouse and process for shipping.
• Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, confirmations).
• Wrap and weigh finished skids.
• Load products for each order onto trucks.
• Communicate with Customer Service, truck lines and freight lines.
• Run UPS end-of-day report.
• Bale scrap film and corrugated packaging materials as needed.
• Participate in cycle counts and annual inventory audits.
• Follow safety guidelines, wear PPE, and meet OSHA requirements.
• Complete additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership.

Shipping & Receiving Technician

Location: Lenexa, KS

Shift: 1st Shift

Schedule: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Shipping & Receiving Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely moving, storing, and tracking finished goods to the customer while supporting inventory accuracy and production efficiency. This position plays an important role in maintaining workplace safety, food safety compliance, and efficient warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

• Run orders through the transportation Management System.
• Pick orders from Warehouse and process through the appropriate shipping method.
• Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, confirmation etc.
• Wraps and weighs finished skids
• Loads products for each order onto trucks
• Communicates effectively with Customer Service, truck lines and freight lines
• Runs UPS end of day report
• Bale scrap film and corrugated packaging materials as needed
