Job summary

Savard Group in Fort Payne, Alabama is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Handler for a temp-to-hire role in our climate-controlled facility. You will manage inbound/outbound shipments, and prep crates using saws and carpentry tasks with safety PPE provided.

Shifts run Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM at $16.00/hour or Monday–Thursday 12:00 PM–10:30 PM at $17.00/hour. A drug screen, background check, and E-Verify are required; steel-toe shoes and long pants are necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (documentation or transcripts).
• Forklift experience required.
• Ability to operate a radial saw and table saw to build crates.
• Carpentry experience preferred.
• 1+ year of manufacturing, production, machine operation, maintenance, or technical experience preferred.
• Computer experience desirable.
• Stable work history required.
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for 10-12 hours per shift.
• Must speak, read, and write English.
• Long pants and steel-toe shoes required.
• Grey T-shirt and additional PPE provided.
• Must pass a drug screen, background check, and E-Verify.
