Job summary

Dorman Products, based in Shreveport, LA, seeks a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee the end‑to‑end logistics workflow. You will lead a team, ensure accurate shipping/receiving, and maintain compliance with safety standards in a fast‑paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive forklifts and other powered equipment proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the shipping and receiving processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage.
• Ensure shipments are properly labeled, packaged, documented, and traceable.
• Process receivers, bills of lading, work orders, and shipping documents.
• Work with freight carriers to obtain quotes and schedule outgoing shipments.
• Oversee packaging and processing of small‑parcel carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.).
• Supervise, train, and coach shipping/receiving team members on procedures, safety, and productivity expectations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by monitoring stock movement and reconciling discrepancies.
• Generate reports on shipments, load counts, and inventory as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and industry regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, enforcing use of PPE and equipment procedures.
• Implement and support safety initiatives, quality control, and process improvement efforts.
