Job summary

Crafco, Inc. in Halls, TN is seeking a Shipping Receiving Supervisor to oversee shipping/receiving operations, stage finished goods, and coordinate with production and scheduling teams to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires at least 3 years in logistics, forklift experience, and familiarity with SAP or ERP systems; you will maintain safety, accuracy of paperwork, and foster a clean, organized warehouse environment while supporting overtime and varying shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years in logistics or shipping/receiving operations preferred.
  • 3+ years forklift operation experience in warehouse setting preferred; able to become licensed operator if needed.
  • Ability to interpret shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP/ERP experience desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; highly organized.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs+ and work in varying conditions.

Crafco, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Receiving Supervisor at our manufacturing facility in Halls, TN

Shipping Receiving Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient handling, staging, and shipping of finished goods as well as general logistics for receiving operations. This position is responsible for coordinating product availability with the production and supply chain teams, preparing shipments in accordance with sales orders, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Specific Duties
  • Responsible for arranging appropriate products for shipping as outlined in the sales order.
  • Load shipments efficiently to minimize delays and overtime.
  • Coordinate activities with the production department to ensure availability of products with the scheduling of carriers.
  • Maintain an approved carrier base and contract carries.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean and safe work area and equipment, ensuring the proper storage and handling of products and materials assigned to the area.
  • Ensure proper handling, routing, accuracy of all approved paperwork, forms, files and reports. All paperwork to be completed and handled in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for filling out Bill of Lading, or UPS paperwork and routing information to appropriate areas, accurately, completely and in the time frame as required.
  • All finished goods assigned to the shipping department shall be kept in an orderly fashion, and any damaged materials will be promptly repaired.
  • Establish process to maintain accurate inventory counts. Work closely with production department to correct discrepancies found according to company packaging standards.
  • Stage orders verifying the type of material or product, correct weights or quantities and correct shipping destination.
  • Responsible to load, unload and store materials in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Move finished goods from the QC area to the storage/shipping yard area in a safe, timely, organized manner.
  • Responsible for keeping the forklift clean, free of debris and perform daily inspections to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Apply established procedures to accurately receive, inspect, process and document incoming shipments.
  • Verify packing slips for correct part numbers and quantities.
  • Abide with all company safety, operational, and personnel procedures and policies.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in logistics or shipping/receiving operations preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of forklift operation experience in warehouse setting preferred; or willing to become an authorized forklift operator
  • Ability to interpret shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, inventory systems and standard shipping software. Proficiency in SAP, or other ERP systems, for inventory and order management, is desired
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and highly organized
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of position including; standing, walking, squatting, and/or lifting for long periods throughout the day. Ability to lift 50 lbs+ unassisted, work in potentially adverse conditions including: loud noise/setting, indoor/outdoor settings in potentially adverse weather conditions including rain, heat, and/or cold temperatures.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and various shifts when needed.
