Job summary

BK CORROSION LLC is seeking a warehouse shipping/receiving associate in Houston to handle deliveries, inventory, and shipment preparation. You will follow safety procedures, follow instructions, and use Epicor 10 to process shipping and correspondence with sales and purchasing.

You may operate a forklift and assist in general warehouse upkeep. Responsibilities include inspecting shipments, labeling, packing, and coordinating with Purchasing/AR for damages or shortages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills, including Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety procedures.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Operate a computer to issue shipping and receiving information in Epicor 10 and reply to emails from sales and purchasing.
• Assist in maintaining equipment (e.g., forklift).
• Verify and record incoming/outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment according to pick lists and bills of lading.
• Ship, receive and unload material manually or with forklift or pallet jack.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage or shortages and coordinate with Purchasing/AR before damages are approved.
• Ensure received material is placed in correct location and properly labeled.
• Deliver and retrieve raw material and finished goods to and from workstations.
• Pull inventory for orders and pack boxes, pallets, and crates.
• Determine shipment method based on routes and rates; apply shipping labels and markings.
• Photograph outgoing shipments and maintain photos.
• Assist others with outgoing/incoming shipments.
• May receive/store/ship hazardous material.
• Assist in physical inventories (cycle counting/year-end).
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in warehouses.
