Shipping Receiving Specialist - Thomaston, GA 1st Shift

Description:

Ranew's Companies is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team in Thomaston, GA. This role involves overseeing and maintaining records of all shipping and receiving activities. The specialist is responsible for organizing, sorting, and transferring goods within the company, monitoring packages from start to finish, ensuring proper packaging and shipping practices, updating inventory records, and collaborating with procurement staff to manage deliveries and paperwork.

Location: Thomaston, GA
Salary: $14 - $16/hour (dependent on experience and shift)
Job Type: Full-Time | 1st Shift

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

1. Obtain product orders, receive deliveries, register and distribute packages and parts within the company.
2. Maintain stocks through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items regularly.
3. Schedule shipments and plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage and staffing for incoming shipments.
4. Prepare shipping and receiving reports for management, maintaining accurate records.
5. Ensure compliance with environmental management systems.
6. Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints, providing solutions.
7. Manage warehouse placement of merchandise, including packaging, lifting, and operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods.
