Job description

TekPro Support Services (TSS) is seeking Shipping Specialists to receive and ship all materials at the designated location. Services may include, but are not limited to, the delivery of mail, packages, firearms, hazardous materials, and freight shipments, all of which are either accountable or non-accountable. Responsibilities include, with close supervision, but not limited to:

1. Receive all materials sent to FBI Redstone
2. Use visual inspections, x-ray machines, and/or other Government determined methods to evaluate packages for damage and safety
3. Account for packages using Government established and/or approved methods
4. Correspond regularly with FBI personnel, delivery drivers, and outside vendors
5. Research shipments to identify recipients
6. Hand-deliver materials to recipients and collect signatures when applicable
7. Collect out-bound packages from designated locations
8. Prepare items to ship (i.e., package, wrap, weigh, label, etc.)
9. Sort and deliver materials to multiple locations across Redstone Arsenal
10. Package, wrap, and ship materials in accordance with FBI policies and procedures
11. Operate a variety of equipment to include box trucks, forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials
12. Maintain a clean and organized workspace
13. Organize and inventory materials as directed
14. Maintain trackers, lists, and organized files as provided by the Government
15. Understand Government policies, procedures, and processes
16. Answer customer and client inquiries
17. Perform additional tasks as required by superiors

Qualifications

1. 5+ years prior experience working in related field.
2. Proficient with computer technology and Microsoft Office applications
3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
4. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask
5. Reliable and diligent worker

Top Secret Security Clearance
