  • Level II: $18.30-$27.46 hourly

Shipping/Receiving Specialist is responsible for incoming materials from internal and external suppliers, and packaging materials for internal and external customers, assisting freight carriers and coordinating part transport to internal and external customers, and shipping domestic and international packages via the appropriate shipping portals. The role works under limited supervision and involves contact with external suppliers and customers. The role includes serving as Woodward representative while coordinating government source inspections and shipping schedules.

What you will be doing...

  • Assemble wooden and cardboard containers to prepare for product packing, line and pad crates/boxes as required. Perform specialized packaging and follow shipment instructions based on customer requests.
  • Generate, prepare, and attach identification and shipping labels to finished packages, or stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or destinations. Assist freight carriers as necessary to expedite shipments.
  • Check materials to ensure they match purchase orders and notify relevant team members of issues.
  • Count or estimate quantities of received or shipped materials, parts, or products.
  • Transport parts or items within the facility using carts, forklifts, or other equipment.
  • Unload, unpack, and receive incoming shipments of MRO items.
  • Create shipping COC and packing lists, prepare bills of lading and shipping orders.
  • Communicate across departments for problem solving and process improvements.
  • Coordinate government source inspections and prepare related documentation.
  • Assist in training team members on weighing, moving, and checking products.
  • Communicate with carriers regarding shipping and delivery details.
  • Perform material picks for work orders, retrieve items from stock, and ensure accuracy of shipment contents.
  • Create bar codes and markings as required.
  • Determine appropriate shipping methods based on procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Promote teamwork and assist in packaging to meet standards.
  • Review customer shipping requirements via portals where applicable.
  • Update and verify item status in ERP systems like WISE and SAP.
  • Prepare export documentation for international shipments where applicable.

What we are looking for...
