Job summary

Kids for the Future is hiring a FT Shipping/Receiving Clerk in Orwigsburg, PA. You will verify incoming shipments, prepare outgoing orders, and help maintain accurate inventory records in a fast-paced warehouse.

We value safety, reliability, and teamwork. The role requires lifting up to 60 lbs, operating basic warehouse equipment, and coordinating with production, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and shipping systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Prepare, pack, and ship outgoing orders according to company and customer requirements.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (if applicable).
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory updates.
• Work closely with production, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Identify and report any damaged or missing goods.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
