Job summary

Crane Company is seeking a team member for shipping and receiving duties in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare bills of lading, coordinate with order management and factory representatives to meet customer dates, and ensure proper packing and labeling of merchandise.

The role includes arranging carrier pickups, organizing distribution, storing received parts, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace while supporting supervisor-directed tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents such as bills of lading
• Correspond with order management as well as factory representatives to rectify problems so that customer needs dates can be met
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for transport
• Contact carrier representatives to make transport arrangements
• Organize distribution and shipping of merchandise: Make necessary verifications against documents, prepare the merchandise, move merchandise to the appropriate area, and handle customer pick-ups
• Assign, tag, and store received inventory to proper location
• Receive parts to stock that have come in from external suppliers
• Ensure products are properly packed and labeled
• Maintain safe and clean working area
• Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
