Job summary

Acuity Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to accurately prepare, package, and process outbound shipments and inbound materials to keep warehouse operations efficient.

You will scan products into the system, weigh and label items, assemble shipments, break down inbound pallets, verify counts, and resolve discrepancies while maintaining a safe 5S-compliant workplace. The role pays $19.11 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read manifests, packing lists and shipping codes.
• Basic computer skills for system updates and labeling.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Process shipments via UPS and FedEx and load products into trailer.
• Process pallets through the system, scanning products into the system.
• Weigh, measure, and label products as required.
• Package products, label and tape boxes according to standards.
• Breakdown inbound pallets and verify receipts against records.
• Review quantity discrepancies and update the system accordingly.
• Ensure labels from attendants are assigned to the correct pallet.
• Move products to the dock door and use corner boards when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe 5S workspace and meet productivity goals.
