Job summary

nVent is seeking a warehouse associate in Solon, Ohio to receive, stock, pick, issue and deliver materials while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. You will operate a forklift, use RF scanners and related software, and follow procedures to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of warehouse experience. You should be proficient with Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to lift up

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; minimum 3 years warehouse experience.
• Experience operating an RF scanner and related software; Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of material flow processes and safety policies.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to adapt to changing business conditions and work under pressure.
• Ability to operate forklift and other warehouse equipment (PIT, reach truck, etc.).
• Bend, squat, lift up to 50 pounds; be physically able to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety procedures and report hazards to supervisor or lead.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Receive, stock, pick, issue and deliver materials to satisfy customers.
• Pull orders and prepare for shipping to dock or parcel area.
• Set up workstations and train operators on procedures and safety.
• Operate forklift and notify team lead of issues.
• Maintain equipment and materials; meet production schedules.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
